Our Values

Our work is guided by purpose, dedication, empathy, compassion, and care. We believe every person deserves the opportunity to be supported, heard, and empowered to live their best life.

We demonstrate our values by:
  • Embracing potential: We create opportunities for people to engage, grow, and thrive.
  • Building an inclusive culture: We work to create an environment where everyone feels accepted, supported, and heard.
  • Valuing different voices: We recognize that the unique perspectives and lived experiences of our team members make us stronger.
  • Showing up authentically: We encourage people to bring their genuine selves to work while respecting others as they are.
  • Learning and growing: We ask thoughtful questions, listen with humility, hold ourselves accountable, and move forward together.
  • Leading with compassion: We meet people where they are and work collaboratively to find meaningful solutions.

Our Team

Our people bring our purpose to life every day. Across North Carolina and Virginia, our team members work together to provide meaningful services that help children, adults, and families live, learn, work, and participate fully in their communities.

Our workforce includes clinicians, nurses, direct support professionals, therapists, peer-support specialists, program leaders, administrative professionals, and many other dedicated team members. Each individual contributes unique strengths, perspectives, expertise, and lived experience to our shared mission.

We believe that employees create powerful outcomes when employees feel valued, connected, supported, and heard. That is why we encourage team members to share their ideas, contribute their experiences, and help shape the future of our organization.

Our Culture

Culture is central to everything we do. We are intentionally creating an inclusive workplace that values the unique strengths, perspectives, and experiences of our workforce.

We listen, seek to understand, and act to create an environment where team members can be authentic, contribute meaningfully, and continue learning and growing. Our culture is collaborative, mission-driven, and centered on building trust with the people we support, our employees, and our communities.

We do not expect perfection—we expect curiosity, accountability, respect, and a willingness to move forward together. As the needs of the people and communities we support evolve, we evolve with them.
